Second Arizona prison inmate death investigated as homicide |

The Arizona Department of Corrections is investigating the death of an inmate as a suspected homicide. Jeffrey T. Jensen, 37, died on Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, where he had been undergoing treatment for head injuries he received at Arizona State Prison Complex-Lewis in Buckeye. The death was the second inmate death reported by the agency Monday. The department says that Jensen received the head injuries during an "unwitnessed assault" by other inmates last Thursday.
