|Detention officers help deliver twins for inmate in labor|
NAVARRO COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) Three detention officers became makeshift doctors when an inmate went into premature labor early Tuesday morning.
According to officials, Detention Sgt. Robin Woodall, and Detention Officers Betty Rivera and April Martin helped deliver the first of a set of twins at the Navarro County Jail, saving not only their lives, but their mother's.
"The officers, without hesitation, worked together in a time sensitive situation to help deliver the first of the two babies," said Sheriff Elmer Tanner.
