| LCSO: Inmate dies in Levy County Detention Facility |

LEVY COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB) The Levy County Sheriff's Office says that 37-year-old Megan Downing was found dead in her cell at the Levy County Detention Facility early Saturday morning. In a press release on their website, LCSO says that Downing was being held in the medical department of the Detention Facility and under video monitoring. When staff went to check on her a little after 4:00am Saturday, September 15, 2018, she was dead. The Sheriff's Office is working in conjunction with the 8th District Medical Examiner's Office to investigate Downing's death. Read More. |
