PAULS VALLEY, Okla. -- The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is making a new home in Pauls Valley at what used to be the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center.
The department plans to use the land as a training facility, but not for the people -- for dogs.
"Right now we're running our K-9 program out of some old Navy firing range bunkers," said DOC spokesman Matt Elliott, who adds that the Pauls Valley center will be a much-needed upgrade.
"You've got to have proper ventilation, you kind of got to have other things set up specifically for that," he said.
