The Columbia Correctional Institution has lifted its lockdown status after nearly a full month of tightened security and will soon restore visitation hours, but details remain limited.

Hendricks said normally scheduled visitation hours will resume Friday, after 27 days in lockdown. All other normal procedures will also resume.
