Warrant: Inmate runs prostitution ring from prison |

SAN ANTONIO -- Two people have been arrested in connection with an operation designed to prostitute in four Texas cities. The accused kingpin ran the business from a Texas prison cell, according to an arrest warrant. KENS 5 is not naming the accused kingpin because, currently, he has not been arrested in connection with this case. However, two of his accomplices are in custody Friday morning. Bernard Blanchard, 40, of San Antonio is facing felony charges of aggravated promotion of prostitution and compelling prostitution, according to the warrant. Genevieve Aguirre, 25, was arrested on the same charges. Law enforcement officers assigned with the Human Trafficking Unit of the Office of the Texas Attorney General were contacted by a Bexar County deputy who became aware of a possible human trafficking victim being detained in jail in September.
