2 inmates charged with trafficking drugs at jail |

JASPER — Two inmates at the Dubois County Security Center are each facing a new felony charge after allegedly being caught with methamphetamine at the jail. Court documents indicate Dubois County Sheriff’s Department jail staff are accusing Johnathon B. Franzell, 41, 616 Schuler Ave., Huntingburg, and Damion A. Pryor, 31, 1043 Edward St., Jasper, of having methamphetamine that was discovered at the jail. Authorities said the drug was in liquid form in a contact solution bottle. Warrants were issued Thursday in Dubois Superior Court charging each man with a Level 5 felony count of trafficking with an inmate. Those warrants were served this morning. Pryor, who had been on pre-trial work release, found himself jailed in August on a Level 5 felony count of methamphetamine possession. Court documents allege that, on July 29, he dropped a plastic bag containing methamphetamine in the grass at the community corrections center. He is awaiting a Nov. 9 trial on that charge.
